Steven J. Zients

Steve has been in the retirement plan business for over 20 years and in the financial services business for over 30 years. In 2009 he co-founded Act2 Retirement Consulting to help plan sponsors maximize their retirement plan for the benefit of their employees. Steve is a strong advocate of simplifying plan design, optimizing vendor relationships, and taking advantage of provisions in the Pension Protection Act of 2006 to help employees save more and invest appropriately for retirement.

Steve was Senior Vice President and Director of T. Rowe Price Retirement Plan Services for 23 years, managing the Client Services department. In that role he had responsibility for relationship management, ERISA compliance, new business implementation, product development and financial management. During his tenure at T. Rowe price, he was part of the leadership team that grew the business from $500 million to over $100 billion in assets under administration. He also served as a Board Member with the American Benefits Council. Steve received his BA from Colgate University and his MBA from The Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia.
